Fashion Week New Orleans

Fashion Week New Orleans featured some amazing designers during the week!

Stephanie Young and Fashion Star’s Ross Bennett were just a few of the stand-out stars.

We were able to get a few shots backstage before and after both designer’s shows!

Stephanie showed a breathtaking collection of formal gowns and jumpsuits per usual. …

We were in absolute awe of this dress by Ross Bennett. We could so see Rachel Zoe rocking this!

What We Wore

Clearly we found a fun spot to shoot in….

And That’s A Wrap….Iacono

Lisa Iacono showed her F/W 13′ collection showcasing stellar pieces that we’d like to put in our rotation ASAP!

We were lucky enough to catch up with Lisa and get the 411 on her entire collection.

“Fall 13 was basically inspired by my fantasy customer.  She’s strong, modern, independent, and unafraid.  But even the powerhouse girl enjoys feeling feminine and soft.  That’s where the silks, sheers, and circular dresses come into play.” -LI

“I wanted to take her from day to night, marrying elements both funky and refined.” -LI

by Smith

By Smith F/W 13′

.

We were so excited to meet up with our fav gal pal before her show!

Smith was kind enough to give us a sneak peek at her collection minutes before it hit the runway.

Attention to detail like whoa!

This season Smith was inspired by famous stained glass windows and mosaics.  She took that inspiration to the canvas and painted all of her original prints you saw on the runway.

Fabrics consisted of Italian wools, hand – woven Indian fabrics, and Thai silks.  We also saw a variety of silhouettes ranging from dresses to separates.

Day 4, We Want More

I had to continue with the rhyming theme and I’m not sorry.

Last night Heather Williams of Tallulah’s Designs showed her F/W 13′ collection.

Heather didn’t disappoint with a collection full of brocade, bright colors, and feminie silhouettes.

Every single piece can, without a doubt, be worked into your existing wardrobe and will serve as some of your key pieces for everyday looks.

We want it all!

P.S. Be sure to check out Heather’s Kickstarter campaign to find out how you can get your hands on these pieces!

Day 3, Oh Emm Gee

NOLA Fashion Week Day 3 was insane!

Anthony Ryan Auld debuted his Fall 13 collection with impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Hazel & Florange walked the runway for the very first time and it was so so good!

Andi Eaton brought her signature style to Nola Fashion Week with turbans, bright colors, and mixed prints.

Bravo Ms. Eaton, we cannot wait to play dress up!

NOLAFW Day 2

Last night we caught Izavel and blackout by Ashley Ming…

Izavel took a very conceptual approach with her collection this season.  Each piece built off of the one one before it making for a very intersting show.

Ashley Ming took a more wearable appraoch with her collection.

Black stayed consistent throughtout the entire show until the last look walked the runway.

The show closed on a softer note.

Ming showed a light pink dress with spalsh of  print at the hem.

This chick has some serious potential!

Sunday kicked off Nola Fashion Week with their emerging designers category and my, oh my, did Noel Martin bring it!

 Feathers, fur, studs, and kints….

This is certainly a collection we can get behind!

How stinkin cute is she?!

Noel, we are so looking forward to seeing you grow as a designer!

Spaded

Holy bow!

We love a good Kate Spade moment.

Does anyone remember their sleek, black box bag from Kate Spade!?

I thought I was the coolest girl in 7th grade when I got mine.

It now serves as a magazine holder in the living room, like I would ever abandon my very first Kate Spade!

No surprise that we died for her Fall 13′ collection…

When in doubt, wear pink right?!

Spaded

Each one of these needs a good moment….

It’s All Wu To Me

Brrr…

It’s a blizzard in NY, and we could not be happier that we deemed September as our NYFW month!

Being from the deep south, we don’t play nicely with the cold.

Do you know how hard it is to shop in NY in the cold?

Remove your fur, remove the light weight jacket, remove the sweater…

All just to try on a little dress from Zara! Sheesh!

Since we have a chill just talking about it,

we’re glad Jason Wu Fall 13′ collection included some pieces to keep us warm!

Moments of 2012

Is it really almost 2013?

This year as flown by, and my oh, my how grateful are we!

Let’s re-cap all our favorite moments of 2012….

In no particular order because every moment was a favorite!

Spotting Anna Wintour during NYFW.

Wonder if she would like our “F is Fashion” tee?

Moments of 2012

Our first Fashion’s Night Out

The night we learned to always pack flats in our purse!

Moments of 2012

Katie being assigned FRONT ROW at Tibi, and then finding out she was given the wrong seat.

Chanel Resort 13′

We are blogging from the hospital at the moment….

Chanel’s resort collection nearly gave us a hear attack.

The show, which took place in Versailles, was nothing short of extraordinary.

Which doesn’t surprise us since the whole collection took 12 months to be completed.

 Chanel Resort 13'

Our favorite fashionista summed up the collection perfectly

“2013 Marie Attionette”

Please enjoy this moment with us…

The sneakers! OH the sneakers!

Does this really mean the 90′s  are coming back? We hope so, and we called it!

Houston Fashion Week

So everyone these days has a fashion week.

It’s like the new black….

Only a few cities have really been able to pull it off.

New York, New Orleans, Charleston (which we will be attending in March EEK!) and now Houston!

Due to our schedule we were not able to attend.

But, thanks to one of our favorite fashion correspondents Kandice Picard, we got all the access!

 Check it out:

Tallulah

Tallulah

Could not agree more…

We can recall our last meeting with Heather Williams of Tallulah, and Genevieve Douglass of Uptown PR.

A quaint set up of hot tea, pastries, and viewing a new line called “Tallulah”

Well, here we are again, and my has Tallulah grown into a beautiful line.

We were sad that we could not have the usual tea party, but beyond thrilled to be able to capture her show.

These “girly to the MAX” pieces are sure to get you excited for SS 13′

Iacono SS 13′

From the studio to the runway, we got the exclusive behind the scenes look at Lisa Iacono’s Spring 13 collection!

It’s not everyday that you get this much of a sneak peek from a designer.

From sketches hanging on the wall, to personal side notes from the designer, we got it all!

Can we talk about disco Elvis?!

After seeing the tie bottom on this beautiful pant, we thought it would be so cool to do the same tie on her sequin pants.

Alejandro

Ale-Ale-jandrooooo!

If you knew that was a Lady Gaga reference we are clearly best friends.

This post is about something better then Gaga…shoes!

I was beyond thrilled when we received and invite for the Alejandro Ingelmo presentation.

Of course we love a good runway show, but this was something completely dedicated to shoes.

Not to mention it was held in The Standard which didn’t hurt either.

Pure magic…

These particular styles remind of cotton candy disco meets “f*ck me” shoes.

NYC in Outfits

The hustle and bustle in the big NYC is certainly something we quickly got used to!

We wore flats everywhere, and threw on our heels before any show/event!

See, fashion girls are smart too ; )

Heels: Stuart Weitzeman

Necklaces: Anne Taylor & Thrift

Mara Hoffman

ALOHA to fashion!

There are numerous reasons why I love attending this show:

1. My love for Mara Hoffman is endless

2. I enjoy seeing Kelly Cutrone walk around like a boss

3. The front row is always packed full of celebs

4. I always get goosebumps when the plastic covering is removed from the runway!

I see you Bryan Boy!

I swear that’s Lindsay Lohan, but I can’t really tell with all the cheek fillers.

The show kept to it’s paradise theme with adorable luau ladies.
